I was part of the team who set A-Team up in 2013 and have been involved in different roles ever since. I was the group’s Secretary for several years and was appointed Chair in 2021. I have always loved musical theatre and in my distant past I was also a performer, singing in choirs and performing in the Fringe, pantomime and musical theatre in the Usher Hall.

As well as my duties as Chair I also have the pleasure of directing our shows, where I am fortunate towork with lots of lovely young people, approx. 300 since we first started in 2013. In my day job I
manage a property maintenance and repairs company, employing approx 60 staff, which couldn’t be further removed from what I do at A-Team.

A-Team aims to give young people, who may not have the financial means, the opportunity to takepart in a full production of a musical theatre show. We give the young people somewhere to go and access to a new group of friends, which will boost their confidence and give them transferable skills for their future. I look forward to sharing this with many more young people in the coming years.
